Charles Pettigrew (May 12, 1963 – April 6, 2001) was an American singer.
==Career==
Previously, Pettigrew had lived in Boston where he was lead singer of the band Down Avenue. Down Avenue was the winner of radio station WBCN's 1985 Rock 'n Roll Rumble, he was also probably best known as half of R&B duo Charles & Eddie, who had a worldwide hit in 1992 with "Would I Lie To You?." The track is amongst the most well-recognised of early '90s r'n'b tracks, Pettigrew met singing partner Eddie Chacon in New York.
